2012 (2nd) International Conference on Smart Grid and Clean Energy Technologies (ICSGCE 2012) will be held in October 26-28, 2012 in Hong Kong, China. ICSGCE 2012 is sponsored by NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China), CRES (China Renewable Energy Society), JEST (Journal of Electronic Science and Technology), and Intercap Energy Systems, USA. The Conference is also supported by UESTC (University of Electronic Science and Technology of China), Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of Wollongong (Australian), American University of Sharjah, and China Energy Association (CEA).

All manuscripts submitted will be peer reviewed by ICSGCE 2012 TPC and the Conference proceeding will be indexed by EI Compendex. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version for possible inclusion in the special issue of Journal of Electronic Science and Technology (http://www.intl-jest.com), which is a DOAJ journal, indexed by INSPEC (one of Ei databases), America CA (Chemical Abstracts), CNKI (China), and Wanfang (China), and also included in Oriprobe and Academic Publishing Platform.

Prof. A. R. Al-Al: I would like to thank you very much for the well done job on the smart grid conference. Your dedication and punctuality have added great values to the conference success. # The Keynote Speakers were well selected and they gave the conference attendees the latest smart grid knowhow. The technical sessions were well organized and their topics were very much online with their contents. I have chaired two sessions and 90% of sessions speakers were presented and delivered their papers. The sessions were full of attendees and excellent discussion between presenters and the attendees were conducted. # The conference period as 4-days is excellent and gave us as participants to know each other more and networked well.

Prof. Seunghyup Yoo: I'd like to thank you for your cordial hospitality during my stay in ICSGCE. In Chengdu, I was able to witness the growing success of China. I believe ICSGCE 2011 itself is also the part of such success stories.
