2016 (4th) International Workshop on Communications and Smart Grid (IWCSG 2016), in conjunction with IWCSG 2016, will be held in 19-22 October 2016 at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China. IWCSG aims to provide a platform for participants to establish business or research relationships and to find the partners for future collaboration.

The smart grid will transform the way power is delivered, consumed, and accounted for. Adding modern communication technology through the newly networked grid will increase grid reliability and power quality, improve responsiveness, increase efficiency, and provide a platform for new applications. The workshop is dedicated to building an interdisciplinary community to gain a better understanding of how anomalies information and communications technologies (ICT) can affect the smart grid, and what can be done about it. And also about how better ICT can help improve smart grid resilience and efficiency.

IWCSG 2016 is hosted and sponsored by University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (China). It is also supported by Offenburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and American University of Sharjah (UAE).

All submissions correlated with Smart Grid Applications are particularly welcome. All papers submitted to IWCSG will be peer-reviewed by by JCM Editorial Board.

All papers registered to IWCSG will be published by Journal of Communications (ISSN: 1796-2021; http://www.jocm.us/) which is indexed by Scopus and EI Compendex.

Paper Length Limitation: Papers must not exceed more than 8 pages (no less than 6 pages) of JCM Template in total (including author names and biographies, text, figures, tables, and references). Any additional pages will incur an extra charge, see http://www.icsgce.com/?page/reg_fee/  for details.

The Conference organizing committee invites researchers worldwide to submit papers and share the valuable experiences with the scientists from the world. IWCSG 2016 scope covers, but not limited to, the following topics:
